Learn wildcraft and survival skills in a beautifully curated five-week study! Layout is detailed, yet easy to follow, with little to no preparation involved. For this specific study, five “Verses to Song” mp3 downloads are also included!
Study includes weekly applicable Bible verses in ESV translation with provided copywork in both manuscript and cursive. Narration prompts, simple hands-on projects, and educational video links will enrich your children's learning experience. By completion, your child should have created his or her own mini-field guide. He or she should also be able to recognize multiple local edible plants, trees, wild animal tracks and scat, cardinal directions, sun exposure, and wild game. While survival cannot be taught solely through curriculum, this study will provide a jump start for your family to pursue more knowledge in wildcraft!
Images of example notebooking pages from various grades are included throughout. All resources, videos and weekly syllabuses are hyperlinked for ease of use.
The required literature list is carefully selected to be a timeless addition to your home library. An optional literature and resource list for further learning is also provided.
Notebooking is a key element in the study--if you don't have a good understanding of the art of notebooking, this study can be purchased with the Notebooking Manual as a bundle.
Best suited for grades K-6.
Please note that there are two lessons covering details on fishing and hunting, which both cover the processing of fish and game.
This file will need to be downloaded on a computer. You can then email the file to save on your ipad or phone for ease of use. Digital downloads will expire after 24 hrs. Please save them before letting them expire. Thank you!
Bible verses are from the ESV translation. Enrichment videos are directly linked in the pdf, however, if you choose to print the study, the title of the videos can be typed in Youtube and will be brought up accordingly--just be sure to type in the exact title.
Five Verses to Song are included in the study, as well as a sixth audio clip which combines all of the verses into one song. Check out a sample of the first week below. Note: We recorded with a slower tempo for ease of memorizing, but once memorized, add drums and clapping for a fun song!
