This one's for my mom:
I still remember the pressure of having to say "Thank you for the delicious dinner, Mom" every night before our meal ended. I always felt so spurious about it.
Now, it's come full circle. As a mother of two who have yet to understand showing appreciation, I get it. I don't care if it's something they are trained to do, I want to hear it, dang it. I want to be recognized for taking the time out of the day to prepare a healthy meal!
So, Mom, now I not only understand why you made us say it, but also why you added "delicious" in there. Just cracking up thinking about it...
