Jess and Missy brought Carter this slip -n- slide to CA for their visit... I didn't even know they made those anymore.
Anyway, I brought it out yesterday for some outdoor fun. We unfortunately had to put it in the front yard because the back is just plain hard and would not be very comfortable to dive on, not to mention that our back yard is completely shaded and it was a bit too cool to play in the shade.
So, back to the point... Carter had a blast! He didn't quite get the diving part, but would rather run and slide like a baseball player, go figure.
Today, I decided to do the same thing, wear him out for his nap (for great reasons if you read below!). This time, Jason and I got involved. Boy was it like the good ole days... Our old bodies running and sliding down the slippery tarp! Hilarious. I felt like a kid again (until one of my nursing boobs almost popped out while trying to make an impressive ending to my slide).
If either of my brothers are reading this.... do you guys remember when we used to try to make our own slip -n- slides? Were we that poor? I literally remember using a real tarp and trash bags and ending with several scrapes on my sides! I think we made a big jump at the end as well. But then again, we made jumps for everything...
The Mockabee fam sends a big thank you to the Peters!
