A Hallmark Card

These first two photos remind me of the token Hallmark commercials... loving Great Grandparents, adorable children (right?)... what's special is these were real moments.
Grandma and Grandpa Brown have spoiled us children from as far back as I can remember. Being raised in a very modest home with limited funds, we didn't have a lot of fancy toys or clothes, nor did we need them, however, Grandma and Grandpa did their fair share of fancy with us. Not only did they shower us with toys and trips and activities, they truly spent a lot of time with us and made sure to make every moment special. Not that their Great-Grandchildren are getting any less showering...
Notice the fire engine and mega monster truck? Did you know we have a no battery/no plastic rule in this house? Apparently Great Grandparents don't! But who the heck cares because the kids went C-R-A-Z-Y for them. Never mind the fact that we couldn't hear each other speaking over the Monster Music and the blaring siren...
Once those were put aside, we had some special moments. Kid and Great-Grandpa have a special baseball bond and seem to do lots of pitching and hitting when they get together.
Thanks for coming to visit this afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa! We love you so much and are so appreciative of the legend you have created in our family.
PS--back off on the apron comments, Kid was helping bake, thank you. :-)
