There's gonna be five of them...

Not having a camera can stunt the whole "family documenting" bit. But it's good, because when you don't have photos to upload, you are drawn to the past photos and a trip down memory lane is called for. I love looking at photos from the past. I don't do it often enough, but they sure do trigger memories.

This image is from Father's Day, 2008. We had just finished church and did lunch in the park with our two littles. What a nice little family of four!
Oh, but that was then, this is now. Now there will be five of them. Five boys ruling my home. What a journey that will be. I'm not sure about myself, but I am more than sure that this man can handle it. God has chosen a perfect father to raise four boys and a little girl.
They surely get their wrestle time and project-fixes, but boy does their Daddy posses more than manly-skills. He's a listener. He feels. He has compassion. I am so excited to see the mix that these boys will bring in the house.

The countdown begins! My weeks are booked full of appointments, from non-stress tests, to ultrasounds, to doctor's appointments. It's much more medical than I anticipated, but in order for the boys to stay in the cooker, it's necessary. I'm hoping the business of hopping from one office to another will fast forward time a bit quicker. Nights have become miserable. Elias enjoys playing in my ribs, and August prefers to stretch in my pelvis. The best of both, I should say. Or not.
I can't imagine getting any bigger, but boy do I want them to fatten up, so let the misery continue...it will be worth it, right?
