First of all, a local shout to one of my bff's consignment shop, Twigs.
This shop happens to outfit my kids for Halloween every year. I started with the goal of making my children's costumes. That lasted two kids. Then October 28th comes and it's heading to Twigs to use my credit for some "free" costumes.
If you don't consign, you should. It's quite the "recycling" system. Plus, it's kind of like a side-savings account...always a little something for that unexpected tire swing purchase.
Seriously? I don't know why, but kids just seem cuter in costume.
Maybe we should do this more often.
And how intense is Captain Jack Sparrow? He was diggin' his character.
Every year, we go to one of the other Bff's (Miss Delicious, aka Bobbi) house. None of us are really into the ritual of trick or treating, but we do like to spend time together. The kids hand out candy to creepy costumed (and much too old to be trick or treating) kids.
The ad-ults consume delicious food and beverages.
Win win.
Another year down. It was so refreshing to be walking around and not feeling like my belly was going to explode. The evening brought back traumatic twin-carrying memories from last year...so to celebrate not being pregnant, I wore a mini skirt. Partaaaay!
