It's all about Her...

You asked, I'll provide!
Photos of Miss Scarlett's first outfit(s):
Let me explain the (s) in outfit(s)... Grammy (my mom) and Opa (her spouse and my newly acquired step-Dad) treated Scarlett to her first girly girl outfit as explained on Monday, shortly after she showed revealed her identity.
Wednesday I receive an email (several, actually) on Gap's 30% off Special, only available via-email-coupon. Surely I printed it out. Since Opa and Grammy held nothing back, all the items for Scarlett were full price. Naturally I wanted to save them a few bucks and try to get the additional 30% off onto their card.
No go. Gap doesn't do that with their promotions... and if I wanted to get any type of savings, I would have to return the entire outfit and then repurchase the same exact items. Since they only had a few of the exact items (thankfully the silver shoes and adorable jeans), I was able to keep a few.
But the good news... after all of that, I was able to acquire all of this:
Get out of town, Brown! Admittedly, I did end up using the $15 cash stored away in my wallet for farmer's market... my kids didn't need those peaches anyway.
Well, worth it, I might add! And another little girly pair of shoes:
Navy blue patent leather, yes please!

I promise I won't be posting every article of girl clothing that comes into this household, but the first visual pinks and patents in this household must be documented... you know, for baby book sake.

Do notice in all the summer bloomer sets (oh, I am such a sucker for bloomers, especially when they sport ruffles on the back!), they can interchange shorts with tops... they all coordinate! Scarlett, you are one lucky Miss!

Obviously you have learned that we have decided on a name. We have loved the name Scarlett since we were pregnant with Carter. We knew it would fit with the family and we haven't been able to let go. We played with Georgia for a while (Daddy Mock was keen on calling her "peach"), however, Scarlett is in our hearts, and we know she will indeed be a Scarlett.

What can I use help on??? A middle name for heaven's sake!!! We have had years of trying to come up with a middle name to no avail. Rose, no thank you... I'm pretty sure all the Scarlett's out there have this middle name, not to mention the meaning "red" and rose makes me think of rose tatoos, which is an image I'd rather not associate with my daughter.

So, suggestions? Please? We are open to anything, but we do prefer classic, older names. Two of our contenders right now are Pearl and Adelle. :-) Thank you for feedback!

Missing Person... and a Recipe

Well, pregnancy the third round no doubtingly takes a toll on the body (either that or Miss Honey Bean is causing the continuous drama)... the sickness is back in full force, along with the lethargy. I'm not buying into it and blaming it on the blissful vacation that I was on, the lack of sleep, and the fantastic busy days of pool and beach.
Will get better (right?).

Since nothing more than resting and playing has been going on here (trust me, the boys are doing 14 hrs of sleep at night!)... I leave you with a recipe.

This is my homemade Mac 'n' Cheese.
I hate the store junk.
Anything powdered shouldn't be in a cabinet.

-1/2 bag of sprouted wheat pasta (can be from TJ's or Food For Life makes some)
-Frozen veggies (or even better fresh, if you're not lazy, unlike me!)
-Splash of Milk (obviously we do raw, but pasteurized is fine)
-Mix in mozzarella, mixed cheddar, raw, or yogurt cheese to your preference.
Boil noodles and veggies together, strain, add cheese and milk.

Simple is that... even more simple than mixing that powdered junk!
Feed to starving children. They will be sure to love!
