Every once and a while I get a flash back to my part-time-working-mom days. Depending on the behavior of the children for that moment, I either miss it or praise God that it's in the past. I've done a lot of praising lately (I think God may be thankful for that!). Although I was only part-time, being a realtor allowed no form of structure to my week, which we all know I not only need but so passionately adore. The inconsistency was draining, every time the phone rang, I would have to sprint across the room, jump over a walker, strap my kid in his changing table... you get the point. Every phone call was a dollar sign. If you missed the ring, you may have lost a sale.
Things have changed.
I don't know where my phone is today. I actually have not cared to try to find it. Will I miss something important? No. If Jason needs me, he knows he can email me. Other than that, the world can wait. And being that today is my second "Stay and Play" day (that's the new title for our now once-a-week tradition) I am going nowhere.
