Eight is Great!

Everett, you are eight months old!
Of course you are still very easy and fun. This month you have been very busy. We did two road trips, in which you shared a room with your brother for the first time (well, you did when you were a newborn, but that was more of a "studio", so we're not counting that). You talked to him and screeched with him for a few minutes until you both fell asleep. It was so sweet. You also both slept all night together. I though for sure things would be different, but you made your parents proud! Enjoying some snacks at John and Aleja's (love your green eyes in this photo):

This past month you have started army crawling. You try to get on your knees, but give up and scoot instead. If you see something you are motivated to get, you are super fast. I have caught you in the bathroom, under desks where the plugs are, and you are obsessed with the monitor in our room. You little weasel. The baby proofing/ "that's a 'no'" stage is not my favorite... we will find out soon enough if you are compliant like your brother or if you have a streak of mischief in you. I am assuming the latter, and that secretly excites me. Doing your army crawl:

Your tooth count is up to #8 now, and I'll be darned if your eye teeth are coming in. The drool patrol is still around and you've been gnawing on your fingers. Never stops! One thing we have noticed is your pain tolerance is very high. I'm going to have to take props on this one. He he. You also are very adventurous and seem to think you can do way more physically than you are capable of. You try to scoot out of our arms like you're wanting down to walk. Also, you stand and hold onto things, yet you push away, like you're able to just let go and run! You're silly, but, as my child-hood proved, mind over matter, right? (just don't go jumping out of trees, trust me, that's always a bad result--avoid tying your bike to a rope swing, too, Uncle Jakey can share that lesson with you someday!)Happy Eight Months, my husky-green-eyed-easy E-Huckleberry!
