I've Got the Blues

I don't do rain.
I try to get into the spirit by lighting a candle, using the oven,
working on crafts,
and sporting lounge wear.
(okay, really this photo is just an excuse to show off those adorable cloth diapers and chubby legs attached).
But by the end of the day. Zip. Nada. Nothing. No love for it, honey.
Kid Mock and I even played outside for a bit, as the rain came down upon our cheeks. I thought it was a special moment until he realized that he was missing something called a "kid's umbrella". Little did I know he actually was aware that they made such a thing. It ruined the moment instantly (because meltdowns do that), and we proceeded to go inside, where Baby Bee was anxiously awaiting our wet arrival.
With a "blah" day behind me, I write to document some entertaining moments:
This morning, on our run:
C: Mommy, I didn't brush my teeth with you!
M: (Heavily panting) No, but we can brush your teeth when we get home.
C: But they're made of plastic!

Jason and I made a comment way back about our salad dressing looking like Ellie, our midwife (whom we lovingly refer to as the "birth wizard"). Today as we were reading the Bible and there was a picture of Mary and an angel, Kid remarked: "Hey, she is the lady that was there when I was born! (to his defense, she very much looked like a birth wizard)"
