How I Spent My Birthday Weekend
by Carter Mockabee
Friday night, I went with my Mommy and friends to the store to pick out my birthday cereal. This is a fun tradition that my Mommy had when she was a girl. It's also my chance to load up on all of that sugar I miss out on.
It was a very difficult decision. There were so many to choose from! I finally chose Cheerios, but my Mommy was a bit dissapointed, so she led me to something with "artificial ingredients". She thought I would like it better. I finally chose this one. I liked all the colored letters.
Later that evening, my friends and I cuddled up on the couch. Everett and I love having friends stay over! It means movies, too!
The next morning, our dads packed us up for a trip to Home Depot. We got to work on a project and we all wore Home Deopt aprons! After Home Depot, our dads took us to Inn-N-Out. This is my favorite restaurant.
We came home and napped (well, some of us did!). After nap time was fun. I road my new quad that Papa & Gigi gave me (it usually stays their house, but it was a special treat to have it here with my friends). We played sports and Kuper and Kade taught me how to climb a tree!
Papa came over and brought a bow and arrow. He knew that I love shooting them. It was a nice birthday activity.
After playing we had pizza and homemade cupcakes!
I am so grateful for my friends. I can't believe they surprised me and came all the way here to spend the weekend with me! Did they know that my Mommy didn't plan on having a party for me? Only true friends know when you need them, I guess.
