We definitely reached our 4th of July Summer Party Quota (knock it, there is such a thing). With the Windy Tunnel's Dancing in the Street Extravaganza, followed by the town parade, followed by overeating at our backyard BBQ, we reached our quota, indeed.
These kids never took their party hats off.
Be it with goat's milk popsicles worn on their face,
or their very dirty hands and knees... they partied like rock stars and left us to shame.
Thanks, kids, for playing so well and allowing the adults to binge on hot dogs and burgers. My favorite was watching the girls play in the "dirt corner" with the shovels and tractors. As it should be, ladies.
Oh, and although not quite visible, Kid sports both a police badge and a fireman badge courtesy of our local heros at the parade... this is a major faux pas in the rescue world... did anyone know there was such rivalry between cops and firemen? It's a fun subject to bring up with either party, I'll tell you... make it your next social experiment, you won't be let down.
I hope your 4th weekend was fantastic!
