Soccer Season

Since the moment we found out that Kid was a boy, we knew our life would look very much like our own growing up... lots of time at the field. Stoked. And so it begins.

Yes, a bit early to start in competitive sports, but this is actually a fun class that combines soccer with running drills, color recognition, etc... consider it ummm, soccer-based preschool? Sure.

Kid meeting his coach:
Please do notice the argyle socks. Kid wasn't a fan of soccer socks and thought that his shin guards should definitely be showing. Thankfully three-year-old's don't pay attention to fashion statements. Surely Kid would be the last picked if that was the case.
Really hard to grab great shots when there are multitudes of toddlers running about along with their own personal paparazzi and coaches... I thought it was cute that Kid would lean on his Daddy when listening to instruction.
What did Bee do? Well, jump in of course! I was surprised to see the agility displayed in a 15 month-old. Bee was better at dribbling the ball than over half the kids in that class! And he definitely knew not to touch it with his hands. Crazy, that second child... may not talk much but sure does attain a lot!
We didn't necessarily pay for Bee, but I also didn't realize that he would want to participate so eagerly. Luckily, I can side tract him during "coaching" so he's not much of a distraction.
Overall it was a good first sporting experience. Kid's friend Colin was a part of it and they were both glad to have a friend. Good job, Kid, you did great!
