I guess I'm at that stage where I volunteer as a parent. It happened so quickly! This week I am captain of the yellow team (aren't they cute?), who have named themselves the "Mighty Shooting Stars".
Kids Camp is for ages 5-12, and although Kid and Bee are far from 5 yrs old, they are tagging along. Kid has participated in everything and Bee, well, he's eaten a lot of pretzels and snuggled with his blankie, taking it all in.

Although exhausted, I am so happy to see my children be comfortable and familiar with church. Having them be a part of activities such as Kids Camp, being passed around (Bee sported a red shirt half the time as the red team stole him for their mascot) by different people, and feeling comfortable in such an environment, makes me smile as I know this is their other home and will be as they grow. These kids in this photo will be my sons' (and daughter's) friends, influences and mentors... I better be a part in shaping their lives!
Hopefully tomorrow will have more photos of the festivities... today I was a bit busy being a cheerleader (which I am getting too old for, yawn).
