Yes, when you see that smirk, it usually means TROUBLE.
Bee often takes his socks off at some point pre or post nap, but today, I came in to find a Bee baring his bottom as well. Note to self, put shorts on the babe before naps for now on... it could have been messy. Thankfully, this chubby/muscly legged boy saved that duty for later, when Daddy was home of course... he's polite like that.
Regarding Kid... here are some latest funnies:
-Miss Kathleen takes the kids every Wednesday for a few hours... just a nice lady at church who happens to miss the boys so much during the week that she demands some one-on-one time (angelic!)... I digress... anyway, she reported the following conversation:
"Look at those trees, what do you think are growing in them?"
Kid: "Well, cookies!" "and they take exactly 16 days to fall off"
-The boys have both taken to disciplining each other... of which I have caught Kid dragging Bee to time out and Bee "spanking" Kid. Watch and learn, I suppose... both have been given plenty of opportunities to learn!
-Kid's latest "adult" words: "especially", "actually", "tell me about it", adjectives such as "ginormous, monster, super duper huge, ultra pretty, super cool"... my favorite by far, "totally awesome"... yikes, I'm raising a valley girl!
-Kid's super interested in letters, sounds, and sounding things out... with slight assistance he can sound out a simple word! He can recognize almost every letter of the alphabet and draw about ten of them. (although he will tell you after each letter he recognizes that he can draw it!)
-We've been implementing "school time" as I have noticed he is getting a bit too much physical stimulation and not enough mental... by adding this 30 mins a day, he has had less tantrums, enjoys it, and is obviously learning a lot. His neighbor friend, Natalie joins him half the time... it's been great practice for my homeschooling preschool come fall.
-Kid is very interested in umbilical cords since seeing our new neighbor's (yes, she's here and her photo session will be later this week!). He always asks about Scarlett's umbilical cord and when I eat, if he's thinking about it, he will mention the food going through it to her!
-Kid LOVES babies... when I say that, I don't mean he loves playing with dolls... trust me, we have one and it doesn't get much affection... but he does love real babies and can go on and on about how cute, tiny, and little they are. Today he spent the whole time at Starbucks with one-week-old baby Chloe patting her, singing to her and in his words, "watching her face do funny faces while she's sleeping".
I've been sick and tired again lately, I think mostly due to catch up from our amazing camping trip... also I have a few photo sessions coming up and a new venture about to be exposed... stay tuned!!!
