I saw one of these "car seat tents" in the fabric store a few weeks ago. A new mom was wheeling her little babe around, keeping it safe from all pesky intruders and nasty viruses. I thought it was clever and that I should make one. Then I chuckled and said to myself, "what's wrong with a good ole blanket, like I've used time and time again with the boys?"
Then my friend lost her nursing cape because the wind took it on a walk and it had me thinking.
Shortly after that, Bee found a lot of interest in playing "peek-a-boo" with all sleeping infants in their seat by quickly removing the blanket and running. Not cool, especially if I was the mom whose baby's sleep was disrupted!
Then Amber had to go and make one and inspire me to do the same... she even mentioned H1N1...to really motivate me!
And I just happen to have a free nap time today, which beget the girly infant seat tent:
Tired of this fabric yet? I finally found a use for the remains!
I do love how this can stay on all the time, just lift the end up and no biggie messing with it. A very simple project...one that I'm definitely adding to the gift files... I think every new mommy needs one of these (and babe for that matter).
