I can't see my feet. Can you see yours?
38 Week Update:
Pregnancy Cravings:
-Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin cereal with whole raw milk, sometimes with added granola. This has been overriding my typical ice cream cravings (which I had with the boys)...I think my thighs will be thanking me for that (same).
-TJ's Dark Chocolate Covered Jo Jo's...that was dangerous for a while, thankfully they are gone from the store. I think the manager hides them when he sees me come through the door (for my own benefit, thank you).
Similarities:
Weight gain still the same as the boys. I'm at 18 lbs now.
Differences:
Girlfriend is active! Either that or because she is head down the movement is more intense. She often wakes me up throughout the night because of her movement. The boys always slept when I did... I hope this has nothing to do with her sleeping patterns upon arrival... I know my boys were great sleepers starting day one....ack!
Quest for a VBAC:
As mentioned before, I have had to c-sections due to the breech presentation of my boys. Both extremely devastating as with Kid I had a home birth planned and with Bee I had a chance for a VBAC, but alas, he remained head up. I'm not sure what it is within me, but I do feel like I am missing out on a great task in life. I was looking forward to childbirth and feel cheated out of it. That being said, I am so grateful to have been approved for a VBAC at Kaiser! I can't begin to tell you how much work we've put in to be able to get approval, but I have learned that you can beat the system. You can stand up for your beliefs and with enough research, you can gain a lot of respect and confidence through the process. We pray, visualize, and plan every day for a normal, intervention-free (and natural!) labor and delivery. I trust that God will provide this for me, but after having been dissapointed twice, I also am aware that I can't control everything and am open to the medical aspect of things, if that point comes. Anyway, please keep me in your prayers the next few weeks! Naturally, like all mommies at the end of the road, I'm very ready for this baby to come out... so if you want to get specific, maybe pray for a birth sooner than later, hehehehe.
Speaking of ready... this Kid is very ready for his sister. I've mentioned several times his nesting tactics and his carrying of baby Scarlett around... now when he talks to her, he tells her: "Scarlett, you come out tomorrow morning. I know it's warm in there, but you need to come out now! We want to see you and hold you!"... much more of that lovely brotherly talk all day long.
Bee just prefers to give zerberts (or strawberries as some would call them). I personally take it a bit offensive as he comes running when any large portion of flesh may be showing. He better not go for it after she's born, that may just throw me into a state of depression!
