Eight Months!

You pretty little thing. You constantly seem to outdo your sweetness.
This month was a big month for you!
In the past month you have:
-Started crawling
-Pulled yourself up a few times on the bookcase
-Started babbling "dadadada"
-Started making the "uh" sound, as if you're trying to identify what you're hearing or seeing (ie: a dog barking, spotting the chickens, etc.). I would imagine you'll be pointing and trying to say words soon!
-Been waking very very early. This morning is the first morning in a few weeks that you have slept passed seven. I am hoping it was developmental...we'll see, you little turkey! You still sleep through the night, though.
-Playing chase with your brothers. Daddy and I just beam when we watch all three of you interacting with such laughter on the floor, nothing can replace that special feeling.

Your hair is still very mixed. The top is your original newborn dark-brown hair, under that is a layer of strawberry, and under that is a layer of blonde. We're not sure what you'll be. Your eyes have decided to stay a blue-green-grey, just like you're Papa's.
We call this your "nursing face" in our circuit. Everyone knows it well. This look means Sissy is looking for milk or sleep. I have a feeling you suck your tongue when you sleep as this is what you do when we hand you your blankie as well.
You are still oh-so-petite! Daddy Mock and I just weighed and measured you. You are a mere 13.5 lbs and 26.5 inches long! That puts you in the 3% percentage for weight and 27% for height.
I'm not too worried, though, you have the tiniest little bones and plenty of healthy rolls around your legs.
We just started you on solids last week. You eat like a bird compared to our very aggressive eaters in the past (speaking of, Daddy Mock sent me this link of Bee at 8 months to remind me of their differences, how fun to have them so different in size and temperament!). After a few bites you are done. So far you have had egg yolk, steamed carrots, avocado, and banana. Occasionally you will suck on a pluot, Mommy's favorite fruit in season right now.

The arrows point to how much I have taken this top in for the photos. This top is a size 3-6 months. It had to be taken in by a good four inches just so the straps wouldn't fall off. You're so tiny and petite, it's just so foreign to me!
I started your little photo shoot in our bedroom as Retro Rental has awesome 60's doors. I thought it would complete your retro look with your little headband and such. The lighting pretty much stunk, so I moved you outside, however, this image just popped out at me. You're stunning, little girl.

We are so in love with the way you fit in our family!
