Practice Makes Perfect

A few things:

-I've quickly learned everything in life is not able to be perfect. My mom confirmed that on her visit that just ended (thank you, Mom, for noticing my house was not in complete order). I like quick lessons, kind of like ripping a band-aid off.

-My "perfect" philosophy for Harvest costumes was to hand make each of them, every year. Since they wanted to be superheros, I quickly saw late nights in the sewing room, stitching capes, masks, logos, and weapons. Like ripping off a band-aid, after the quick thought of doing such a task, I decided to end my perfect Harvest philosophy (although Honey does deserve some type of homemade sweetness, don't you think?). As I was dropping off some clothing to consign, I came across two costumes in pristine condition for $10. Even sweeter. One was recognizable (Spiderman), the other, I had to google as it was very green super heros with all kinds of awesome logos and muscles. Apparently Kid scored the Green Samurai Ranger--a retired Power Ranger. I had to Youtube some videos for him to see his character in it's over-the-top fighting glory. He was instantly enamored. And according to Next Door's #1 & #2, he now has major street cred.

-Kid practicing his Green Samurai Ranger moves:
Oh, how he will love me after viewing these some day.
