Holy Smokes, I forgot about you, little journal.
This past week pretty much every child in our household is showing us new things about their personalities. Five changing people makes for two exhausted parents. :-)
We embrace change though...kind of have to based on our past seven years as Mockabees.
We have been continuing to fix up the house. I guess buying a "fixer upper" means actually fixing it, go figure. I feel like it's the money pit, but all good things are happening. And get this, I am actually motivated to finish the babies' nursery. Yay! And the older boys' room...double Yay! There has been tiny little projects that I have been neglecting, due to lack of motivation (which has been a bit odd on my behalf as I usually can't sleep unless something is done!).
Lulu is funny. I mean really funny. She has been getting super animated, goofy, sarcastic, you name it. The dynamic at the dinner table is usually centered around Lulu. And she knows it.
She likes men. Loves men, really. It's kind of scary how quickly she can capture a man's heart. We had a painting contractor out here for an estimate. I introduced him as Mr. Bobby to her. She said, "Hi Mr. Bobby...give me a hug!" and proceeded to hug him, and win his heart. I've never seen a painter cry (kidding, there weren't actual tears, but he was quite enamored with the Miss).
She likes to dress herself. It usually involves a tutu and suspenders (see below). She requests to watch Davey Crocket when she arises from her nap. She keeps us on our toes.
Kid is going through a weird and tough stage. I believe it may be cyclical as he was really difficult at this time last year, but man, oooooh, man. This Kid is quite complex.
Ev is Ev. He seems to balance out our family so well. There are really intense personalities under one roof, and this guy, he just lets life roll. He goes with it, always with a smile. Love that boy.
The twinsies... I love those babies! Such special little boys that remind me of God's incredible power. I carried both of them...crazy! They're getting fat too. Even more crazy. I look at their rolls and am blessed to know that I have enough milk to give both of them what they need. Again, what incredible power God has to equip a human to feed two other humans! More to come on them... they'll be three months in a few days... it can't be so.
