Miracles (or lack thereof)

Their second tooth poked through the other day. Of course it was at the same time, again. Amazing how that works.

The twins have just reached my favorite stage. It seems that since their teeth broke through, they are constantly happy, engaging, and entertaining. They're close to sitting on their own and have really "grown up" in the past week. They touch faces, recognize food, bang things, chew things, and even do their fair share of wrestling.

When they go down for their naps, they chat away and when they wake, they do the same.  I love listening to babies babble as they wake, but walking in to gather two little guys with gigantic rested smiles?
It's somewhat indescribable how special that is.

I remember when I was a kid, we had a piano at our house.  My mom would tell me that sometimes she would pray that God would do a miracle by instantly giving her the ability to play the piano.  She would sit down and bang on the keys.   That miracle most definitely didn't happen.  I thought she was crazy.

But as I sat these two in the laundry basket, I found myself praying that these twins would have some sort of phenom/gift... that at the age of six months they would just know how to fold laundry.
That miracle did not happen.  Equally as crazy.

At least they kept me company while folding.
