Perfectly Imperfect

Perfectly Imperfect

Because kitchen sink baths are all the rage when you're 10 months.

This was my first shot when photographing Honey in the sink. Obviously I hadn't adjusted my white balance and other settings yet, but her expression in this shot was so much better than the later images, making this moment perfectly imperfect!

Honey loves sink baths. She's not into the tub as much as it's usually a combined dunk with the boys and the splashing and noise factor are enough to put a tiny naked baby into a state of panic. Who can blame her, really.

But the sink baths, they're special times. Yet another mother/daughter kitchen activity that makes me think of mothers and daughters participating in the same practice back in the 50's, when house dresses and aprons were a standard. Something so timeless, vintage. Perfect.

Perfectly Imperfect

It takes all of these:
To get this:
And yet I tried for more "perfect", which ended with an accident involving the chain pictured above and an innocent baby, but I won't go there.
We went to one of the apple ranches in Simpleville today. For a train ride, yes, but also to just explore and enjoy friends. I love exploring. I love watching them explore. I didn't pay much attention to my settings, but I did pay attention to them, and so in an imperfect manor, our morning:

It was perfect.
