Little Ballerina (in person) + Giveaway!

Remember this project? Well, I'm happy to show it to you in person!
The downside? I haven't been watching how rapidly Honey Girl has been growing and sadly, these have less than a week or two left in them. Breaks my heart. Oh how I love the ruffles so.

Also, just days after making those pj pants , she has to go and outgrow them! Can you say growth spurt?....that being said I might as well turn them into a giveaway! Just leave a comment and I'll randomly pick one Monday night.

Wish me luck as the children and I are about to embark on a road trip. Three kids under four, myself, and a Toyota Sequoia on the road for 6 hours. How fun is that? Will be reporting later!

Bummin' Around

Honey G is a bit short on the comfy pants. She seems to have outgrown all her newborn clothes, but is a bit too small for 3 months.

Oh how I would love to sew her up some adorable comfy knit pants with some sweet vintage print, but, alas, shopping for fabric online is a weakness of mine.

I just don't spend enough time online to do so, and if I do, for some reason I have the problem of loading my cart, freaking out over the total, and quickly signing off. I am that non-committal navigational statistic (not sure if that makes sense, but you see where I'm going).
So if I'm in a pinch and the CDC happened to ban my family from leaving the home (ooh, so much more on that in the future...it's exciting, trust me), what to do for poor little pant-less Honey Girl?
Use some of my own comfy pajama pants and turn them into hers...
The beauty is that (a)--these were due to be trashed as they were uber-worn and too short for my taste anyway and (b)--using The Creative Family's technique of repurposing a shirt (or pants in my situation) saves a LOAD of time... the bottoms of both pairs were simply the bottom of my pants, the side seems were the side seems of my pants, you get the point. If you're a beginner sewer or crafter, I highly suggest her book--it's far from overwhelming, which allows a bit more time for bummin' around!
*per your request, the cookie recipe will be coming.
**thank you so much for all the book recommendations... since The Help got three votes, I'll be starting with that one, then moving on down the list...you ladies are awesome.
Oh how I miss a good read--can't wait to get started!
