5 Months

We're five months!
Still very drooly.
Still very happy.

Milestones:
-Both roll from front to back and both are trying to roll back to front.
-They found their voices.  Oz has a squealy voice, Elias has a raspy voice.
-They want to be held, a lot. I try and explain to them that there are two of them, but they don't seem to comprehend. It is working my biceps, and has really affected my multi-tasking skills, darnit.  Must learn to wash dishes with my feet.
-They love their siblings.  They are really attached to Everett as of late as he sings them creative tunes.
-Sleep is still the same.  Can't seem to drop that 3/4am feeding.
August is showing his personality more and more.  He is our little party animal.  He's hilarious.  He captures your attention and keeps it with his charming ways.  I can tell he is going to have quite the sense of humor.  He seems so small, but he is extremely strong.  He wiggles, twists, stands, all with tiny flexed muscles.  Love that boy!

Seriously?  I could stare at them forever! Love how they both have their eyebrows up.  Looking through their little five min photo session, their expressions were nearly the same in all of them...so kindred, those two.

Elias is showing more of his laid back personality.  This photo totally captures him. Arms up, relaxed, big soulful eyes. He is calm and sweet.  Such a snuggler.  He loves his momma so much, he just watches me walk around.  As soon as I look at him, he gets so excited, flirts and flashes me his heart warming smile.  My snugly boy.

Until next month, twinsies!

Down Time (and a built-in babysitter)

The moment Kid comes home from school, I get a gigantic smile, a big ole bony hug, and at most one sentence about how his day went. From there he is very eager for down time. I'm guessing after learning and being social all day, he needs the peace. It can be difficult for Everett as he is usually quite excited to see his brother, but a nice little snack can lure him away.

In the past few days, I have been bringing the babies in to do some down time with him.  They appreciate the silence as well. Kid usually involves them somehow.

I caught an impromptu kiss for both boys.  He loves on them so sweetly.
They just lay and watch him.  They wait for him to talk to them, or acknowledge them, then reward him with a giant smile and cackle.

It's a special time for the three of them and it's a special time for Ev and I as it means some sort of tasty treat for the both of us. I would say that's a win/win.
