First, I apologize, I have so much to blog, but pictures must be included (duh!), and we're still working on getting my camera set up on the new computer (I love you hunny and appreciate all the tech hours put into it!).
Had to share a quick story... last night, we had tri-tip and zuccinni for dinner. As you have read, we are now expecting Carter to eat what we eat, so the squash was an interesting situation. Surprisingly, it went well and Carter ate his expected amount of squash... what happened after, though, was not fun. He decided to spit at the dinner table. Already having been punished for this act that afternoon during lunch, he again tested the waters and it resulted in more discipline. URGH!
Back to the cute part... at night, Jason usually puts him to bed and discusses the day with him. If there was anything relevant to "child rearing", this is the time it's brought up. Since I had to punish Carter 2X about spitting, I wanted to be there too.
As we all layed in his bed, I said, "Carter, remember when you got in trouble for spitting?" He answered (emotionally!), "yes". "Well, tomorrow's going to be a better day. I know you are going to work harder on obeying". Carter replied (still a bit emotional, my boy!)"Yeah".
Then I changed to tone--"But, you know what Mommy and Daddy are SOOO proud of?" "You ate your squash so quickly and so well. You have such big muscles now and will grow so big because you ate your veggies"!
He answered, "Yeah! Squash is in my tummy!" Then said, "Carter has big muscles.... (thought for a second)... like a HORSIE!"
Jason and I started cracking up so hard, then he got the giggles. The whole family had a giggle fit that lasted for minutes, uncontrolable. It was one of those moments, frozen in time.
