Today we were at Gigi and Papa's hanging out with Auntie JoJo and Cousin Estella. They were both napping so Carter and I were having craft time. We were using a sheet of stickers that was all different stars with different colors and patterns.

Carter wanted to give me my "favorite"... I said, "Well, polka dots are my favorite pattern"
C: "What's polka dots?"
M: "Well, they're a bunch of circles"
C: "Oh, okay, here you go, Mommy, your favorite: Polka dots!" (as he placed a polka dotted star on my hand)

On the way home, Carter sparks up a conversation:

C: "Mommy has her favorite star on her hand that Carter gave her still!"
M: "Yes I do. I love it, thank you!" "Do you remember what pattern is in the star"
C: "Hmmn, it's a lot of circles, Mommy.... ahhhhhhhh"
M: "Remember, it's called polka dots!"
C: "Oh yeah, and Carter had polka dots in his soup tonight"
M: "You did?"
C: "Yeah, green polka dots, a bunch of little circles in my soup!"

I had made chicken soup with peas in it yesterday and we ate it for leftovers tonight! Ha, clever kid!
