Carter had his first lie. I've kind of been looking forward to it as I wanted to see how much of his mother's creativity he got (apparently I was infamous for not telling the truth!).
C: "Daddy, Mommy said I could have a treat after dinner".
D: "She did, are you sure, son?"
C: "Yes, Mommy said I could have a treat after dinner!".
D: (yelling into our room) "Babe, did you say Carter could have a treat after dinner?"
M: "No, why?"
D: "He just said that you said he could".
Ha!
He was sitting on the coffee table and Jason caught him. He asked, "does Mommy let you sit on that?" Carter said, "Yes". I walked in the room and Jason asked me, "do you allow Carter to sit on that?". I responded, "Of course not--Carter, we don't sit on the table". He then proceeded to burst into tears. Apparently no discipline was needed as getting caught was enough for his little sensitive heart. Cute. At least this time, right?
