The Photo of the Week suddenly made it's weekly appearance into The Bee Hive. Well, I've been inspired to challenge myself and I figure, if it's a goal of mine to come up with one abstract photo a week (versus featuring the charming cherubs daily), then I just may possibly grow in the photography category. My goal is to get one shot that "moves" me before the end of the week. I just happen to catch it as I was feeling the wrath of the sun setting and the week ending. Nice.
Scavenging around as we were emptying the car from yet another road trip, I glanced over at my neighbor's property. This old car door was relaxing it's back against their rotting fence--the rust peaking through each edge, making it's mark on this door that has traveled many paths.
What it has seen and where it has been is unknown, but I found myself enamoured and slightly infatuated with it's loneliness. It lost it's whole as a being and now stands completely alone. And although one wouldn't tack on a purpose to it in it's current state, it just had one--to fulfill my goal for the photo of the week!

Thanks, door.
Happy travels.
