Reconstruction

On the subject of being "green" and striving to be more resourceful... think about all those clothes that are at the goodwill. Why consume in retail stores when there is plenty of opportunity at your local Salvation Army? Ha! A crazy thought, indeed, especially coming from the labeled "fashion nazi" (yes, my friends did name me that in the second grade, although I plead denial). It's hard to believe that there are such finds, but I was just raving over the $75 Velvet dress I found (no, not as in fabric, velvet, but as in the brand) for $1.50. As I have been learning to sew in more detail, it's been eye-opening on how many opportunities the goodwill has waiting for a fashion nazi like me.

Take this XL men's "tetris" shirt:
And turn it into kitch "lounge pants".
Rids the bulky and unattractive sweats that are so comfy and adds a whole new edge.
Because let's face it, this Bee is all-too cool for sweats.
My challenge: If you can't make time to hop over to the goodwill, look through your closet for something you can reconstruct-come back and share, inspire me and others for new ideas!
