Apparently Bee is aware of having to go potty. I found it kind of strange that in the last week or two, anytime he was being changed on the changing table he would choose to pee on me. Not a funny joke in my opinion, but Bee thought it was hil-ar-i-ous. I wondered why he would wait and realized he had the control to do such an action.
Then comes being at Grammy and Opa's. Access to nakedness and a pool nonstop creates a little brother, full-well knowing how to do the forward hip-lean, aim for the bushes technique. Unfortunately, the first two "aim jobs" were not the bushes, but the pool itself (it makes such a cool splashing fountain effect, don't you know?) and the table leg in the living room (what are you, a dog, Bee?). But,after having a little talking to that pottying is for the bushes, Bee stripped his diaper off and ran towards the greens. Auntie Kristen was there to attest his brother-like swiftness and his keen aiming abilities.
I sat amazed.
After telling Grammy of this milestone, as we were dressing the boys for bed, she suggested trying it again, but in the toilet. Sure enough, we had both boys aiming their goods straight into the water. Bee was ecstatic that this is yet another boyish activity that he can take part in... not bad for 16 months, eh? Good job, Bee!
Maybe I won't have two in diapers after all...
