The Bad Guy

Meet: the Gladiators

As of late, Kid has been obsessed with everything "bad guy"... as much as it can be concerning, it's quite fun to see him so enthralled with "bad" as he's such a rule keeper. He prefers to get Bee in trouble. "Everett, throw your food, Everett, yell really loud", and on and on.

When asked what he wanted to be for Halloween? Goliath. Not David, the boy who fought the battle with his faith. Goliath. The naughty giant.

He wanted arm bands like Goliath and everything.

We renamed him a gladiator... a bit more...well, virtuous?

I asked him who he was defending and he answered, "Well the princess! And Natalie will be a princess for Halloween, so I will fight and save her!"

Today was our mom's group annual "Trunk or Treat" bash. Everyone decorates the back of their car and kids stop from one to the next, filling their bags with candy. The boys had a blast. Kid was quite the show-off in his manly costume. Our family photo, faces looking a little happier than last year's! (and Scarlett even made it in this one!)

As for the costumes, major score at TJ Maxx. They were both $6! I made the skirts with scrap fabric and had to alter the chest plates, but other than that, an easy Halloween find as I was determined to spend no more than $10-$15 on the both of them.

The bonus for these is that the boys can use them for many dress up occasions... the swords and shields already have had their fair share of use!
