Sweet Honey Girl. You are eleven months.
Just one year ago, I bounced on a ball, envisioning your sweet face, picturing your smile, guessing at your hair color and just how much your head would boast. I was so excited to meet you, and the anticipation as to how and when you would come would keep me up until late at night. That and the false labor you brought on. Several times. Regardless, the unknown of birthing and caring for a daughter left your Momma so anxious. She couldn't wait until you were in her arms. And now you're near one.
It seems appropriate to say that I didn't know what life was like until I met you. But truth is, I did. It was full, it was beautiful. I was happy and in love with our family. But Honey, when you entered this world, you brought glamour. Life isn't just beautiful, our family isn't just happy; We are full of joy and I look at my children and see gold, silver, and diamonds! What a luxurious God we have, for he has chosen you to be with us.
You are sure special. It seems that everyone that knows you surely agrees. My face lights up with sheer pride when a stranger comments on your sweet face. It never gets old when someone refers to you as the "sweetest" or the "happiest" baby that they have ever seen. I agree. Your Daddy and brother do too!
I'm a bit late for your 11-month mark, we passed it a bit over a week ago, but up until this date, you:
-Say "dog", "Dada", "Mamma", "Buh (for Brother)", "nigh nigh", and "Bye"
-Have a total of 5 teeth
-Are cruising and trying to stand on your own (in which you get so excited over!)
-Got your first fever (actually, you had your fever in the photos above)--for three days! I have never seen a baby so laid back when not feeling well. You continued to sleep through the night and slept most the day without a peep!
-Dropped two feedings
-Eat as much as your brothers!
-Sign "all done" & "more"
Your hair and eye colors still seem to be unknown. They both have little elements of surprise. It will be an interesting journey to see what they end up as!
We love you so much, Lou... you are one special girl!
