There's no overkill when it comes to pictures of these two!
Years down the road, I want to look back on this family record and be reminded of each moment. A photo can trigger so many memories, smells, tastes, sounds, sights.
Today, the boys were smiling so much for their Momma. I took them upstairs where the light is always present (even when it's snowing outside, yes). It smelled of tea, where my cup remained from last night. It was a tad chilly, as the windows couldn't keep out the cold entirely, and I sat on my knees, watching these sweet boys take turns smiling at their Momma. Big, dimply smiles. Of course the big ones weren't quite synchronized, but this image captured the moment in itself.
My mother in law (otherwise known as Gigi), hosted a get-together in the Wind Tunnel to welcome the impending arrival of August and Elias. Our pastor's wife, from our church there, prayed a sweet prayer over their life. She spoke that the boys were to be only a double blessing, never "double the work" or "double trouble", but double the blessing. She made it clear that this was their calling and spoke those words into their unborn ears.
Life thus far with them has proven those words to be true.
They have taken all the open spaces in my heart and have captivated them with some sort of obsessive maternal love.
Thank you, sweet babies, you are most definitely "Double the Blessing"!
...and look at those cheeks and chins getting all fatty...the growth spurt has shown it's fruit!
