Do Not Worry

It's countdown to the date that Daddy Mock will be losing his job. My heart aches for him. I can't imagine the stress and the pressure that the provider of a family encounters. And yet, through this journey, he has remained strong, faithful, in God's word.

I know it's moments like these that shape and form one's character, but at times I find myself going down the slippery slope of worry. I have not yet been put in a position where organic food is a luxury, yet here we are, and I'm worrying about how to feed my family healthy food without the cost (this is where I guess I am forced to start a garden!), among other many things that have been a part of our lifestyle.

Daddy Mock and I are fully aware that money is not ours. Our savings is not ours, it's His, and whether or not it will diminish is up to Him. And we trust Him on that. Even if it means pinto beans and brown rice (organic, of course!) for every meal.
So, I ask, dear friends, how do you eat healthy but keep it relatively inexpensive?
Should we go vegetarian?!

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
